  1. Wonderful photos and ephemera. Thanks for sharing. I thought about you today in the Old City Cemetery in Galveston when I found the grave of a person born on Long Island in the late 1700s. The patterns of movement even within our country is fascinating.

  2. My family sent the pictures to me to post – I couldn’t get home for the parade. The reenactors looked great – Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Grant, Lee, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Clara Barton, etc. Still need someone to grow a huge handlebar mustache to be Gen’l Black Jack Logan,
