I saw this handsome iguana and took an immediate liking to him.

There he was just a-walkin’ down the street, singin’

“Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do”

He’s a rock.

Pebbly skin,

head on a swivel,

eyes like marbles,

he cannot be curbed,

and takes nothin’ for granite.

    • Thank you — it’s actually less processed that you might think, he really was pretty pebbly-skinned — I didn’t realize how
much he resembled the granite curb until I got home and looked at the photo

  1. Love the sight of those Iguanas! Saw plenty of them on the inter coastal waterways In Florida. They are so cool, mostly just sunbathing. 🙂

    • I think they’re cool, too. Last month we were looking at marine iguanas, sunbathing on the rocks, sometimes all of them in a heap.
A couple of years ago, Florida had an unusual cold snap, and the poor iguanas were going comatose and raining down out of the trees. They look scary to some people, but the ones I’ve run into have been pretty friendly.
