I was thinking the stone door looks like the Ten Commandments in old pictures. The sect faded away over a century ago, some of them married into the Mennonites I guess, and the remainder embraced chastity, that might have had something to do with their eventual disappearance.

An Out door in an outdoor cemetery seems to make sense, though most of us would be happy if the residents stayed indoors, so to speak.
