That particular place, everything’s unmarked, so they’d need to hand out name tags for anybody leaving on a day pass, or with a night off for Halloween.
This reminds me of a planetarium, most of all. But also an express exit from the spirit world. I had a really vivid dream about my grandma last night and maybe she came through here?
I stared and stared at that archway, and finally decided that, yes, it really does have double-doors. You don’t suppose that was the resting place for the original In-and-Out Burgher, do you?
Thanks, Lynn. This was the burial ground for the Harmonites, an old-time German sect in Pennsylvania. I’d never seen a revolving door at a cemetery before.
I was thinking the stone door looks like the Ten Commandments in old pictures. The sect faded away over a century ago, some of them married into the Mennonites I guess, and the remainder embraced chastity, that might have had something to do with their eventual disappearance.
So on the eve of Halloween you consider this eerie gateway a getaway into another realm.
Who knows Steve. I’d never seen a cemetery gate before that seemed to have an In door and and Out door.
An Out door in an outdoor cemetery seems to make sense, though most of us would be happy if the residents stayed indoors, so to speak.

Quite spooky!
Yes, kind of an odd doorway, isn’t it
Apparently with all the people dying to get in there they need extra ingress. I hope the door didn’t slam shut behind you after entering.
Thanks, GP, this witch looks like she can hardly wait for tonight.
Well, she is a little batty! 😂
Haha right! 😁
GP’s witch would make a great addition to your spooky gate, Robert.
Yes! She can be the gatekeeper
You intruded!
Well, I was feeling in good spirits and just thought I’d drop in.
I guess the custodian is a deadbeat.
Haha pretty good Dave.

Maybe so!
Super spooky. Don’t open the door! Don’t open the door!
I had to, didn’t want anyone to feel lonely on Halloween, they got nobody.
Hmmm… an entry to another realm? Or have I been watching too much Star Trek ?
Yes, the artificial stars give it a space-y look. Thanks for stopping by, Anne.

😄😆 excellent! Thanks for the unexpected laughter!
Sometimes I even amuse myself!
WOnderful, Robert! The things you find….

I’ve never heard of that sect. No, that door is unique! And attractively made, too.

I love this spooky photo. It looks like you’ve found the elusive door to the other side….
Thanks Melissa. I’d never seen a cemetery with a revolving door before. And no tombstones, the people in that church didn’t believe in ’em.
Fascinating. I’ve never seen one with a revolving door, either.
